Heavy Duty Conveyor Belt
The Earth India Company offers Heavy-Duty Rubber Conveyor Belts designed for continuous and demanding bulk material handling applications. Engineered for strength, durability and reliable performance, these belts are suitable for industries where heavy loads, abrasive materials and challenging operating conditions are part of everyday operations. Our heavy-duty conveyor belts combine a high-strength fabric carcass with durable rubber covers, providing the tensile strength, load-carrying capability and resistance required for efficient material transportation. From mining and cement plants to steel, power and aggregate industries, we provide conveyor belt solutions selected according to the specific requirements of the application.
CORE COMPOUNDING
High-Strength Fabric Carcass + Durable Rubber Covers
Overview & Engineering Design
Built for Heavy-Duty Performance Heavy-duty conveyor applications place significant mechanical stress on the belt. The correct belt therefore needs to provide a balance of tensile strength, flexibility, impact resistance, abrasion resistance and dimensional stability. The Earth India Company provides belts in different constructions and strength ratings to suit varying conveyor lengths, loads, materials and operating conditions.
Core Product Features
High Tensile Strength
Designed to handle demanding loads and working tensions.
Excellent Abrasion Resistance
Durable rubber covers help withstand continuous contact with abrasive materials.
Strong Fabric Carcass
Reinforced construction provides strength and dimensional stability.
Impact Resistance
Suitable for applications involving heavy material loading and impact.
Reliable Load Carrying
Designed for continuous transportation of bulk materials.
Good Troughability
Suitable for troughed conveyor configurations depending on belt construction.

Robust construction helps provide dependable performance in demanding industrial environments.
Application-Specific Selection
Belt construction can be selected according to operating and material-handling requirements.
Belt Construction
Our heavy-duty rubber conveyor belts are built to withstand immense tension and extreme abrasion under harsh conditions.
Reinforced Fabric Carcass
The internal plies (EP/NN fabric) provide the primary structural reinforcement, high tensile strength, and minimal stretch.
Durable Top Cover
A thick, high-performance top cover protects the carcass from heavy cuts, impact from loading chutes, and wear.
Bottom Rubber Cover
Designed with a low friction coefficient to ensure smooth slide-bed or roller support interface while preserving drive efficiency.
Typical Applications (Bulk Materials)
Our Heavy-Duty Conveyor Belts can be used for conveying bulk materials such as:
They are suitable for material handling applications involving continuous transportation over different conveyor lengths and operating conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Technical answers regarding our heavy duty conveyor belt configurations.
Grade M24 cover compound offers superior tensile strength (min. 24 MPa) and excellent tear and gouge resistance, which is recommended for transporting sharp, high-impact materials like heavy metallic ores, large limestone rocks, and granite aggregates. Grade N17 (min. 17 MPa) is optimized for less abrasive material flow, such as sand, gravel, and crushed coal, providing a cost-effective wear life.
The minimum pulley diameter depends directly on the number of plies and the belt rating. For example, a 3-ply EP 315 belt typically requires a drive pulley diameter of at least 250mm to 315mm (depending on tension levels) to prevent ply separation and belt fatigue over dynamic bends. Our engineering team calculates this for each design.
Standard rubber compounds degrade when exposed to continuous temperatures above 80°C. For handling hot cement, clinker, sintered ore, or slag, we manufacture specialized Heat Resistant (HR / T1/T2/T3) covers designed to withstand continuous operating temperatures from 120°C up to 200°C, and transient peaks up to 250°C.
We highly recommend hot vulcanized splicing for heavy-duty installations, as it preserves up to 90-95% of the belt's original tensile rating. For rapid emergency repairs where downtime is critical, high-strength mechanical plate fasteners can be used, although they reduce the operational rating and are not suitable for small pulley diameters.
EP (Polyester warp / Nylon weft) fabric offers very low elongation under working load, high tensile strength, and excellent resistance to moisture and rotting. NN (Nylon warp & weft) fabric is highly elastic with superior impact absorption, making it excellent for high-shock impact zones, though it requires longer take-up stroke allowances.
